Since its purchase by Spanish electric vehicle manufacturer Torrot, Gas Gas has been extremely aggressive in releasing new dirtbike models, and the Spanish firm announced today two of the most exclusive off-road motorcycles in its history, the 2018 Gas Gas Enduro GP, available in 250cc and 300cc two-stroke engine configurations.
The Gas Gas Enduro GP 250 and Enduro GP 300 models are exacting replicas of the company’s factory race team off-roaad racers ridden by Gas Gas factory riders Jonathan Barragán and Antoine Basset. A clear cut above Gas Gas’ greatly improved standard production EC 250 and EC 300 production models (we tested the 2018 Gas Gas EC 300 and XC 300 with their new chassis and KYB suspension components, and found them to be vast improvements over previous versions), the Enduro GP models boast a bunch of special parts, including:
-A Rekluse clutch cover and housing, exclusive to Enduro GP models, that is claimed to provide increased efficiency and cooling
=A cylinder head with a new combustion chamber for greater torque and more precise response
-A complete FMF exhaust system
-Renthal 997 handlebar and Renthal grips
-X-Trig machined red anodized triple clamps
-New machined handlebar clamps designed to add strength to the handlebar mounting system
-Kayaba “Factory Racing” Enduro GP forks incorporating a new black anti-friction treatment (DLC coating) for more supple suspension action
-A floating front brake disc for increased for improved front brake feel
-Black spokes
-An Enduro GP=specific seat, in factory racing team colors, for extra grip
-Exclusive Enduro GP plastic covers and graphics
-A black-anodized aluminum rear sprocket
According to Gas Gas, “the exclusiveness of this model is evident in its smallest details, at a visual level and even regarding the sound for two-stroke lovers.”
